Our client owns and operates a world scale polypropylene plant with capacity of 340,000 mtpa and they are currently seeking to recruit an Operations Director. Responsibilities include planning, developing and implementing strategy for operational management and development so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales covering relevant areas of operation such as manufacturing, distribution, administration and people management.
Skill Requirement: Extensive knowledge of Petrochemical Business Extensive knowledge of Business Management. Knowledge of Market and its dynamics. Extensive knowledge of the technology being used Knowledge of health, safety and environment regulations. |
| Qualifications |
| - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related area preferable with advance degree
- Experience in a technical position including time spent in a position of operational management responsibility - Strong polypropylene technology background (Novolene technology an advantage). Other characteristics for success include: analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills; the ability to gain internal support, to operate independently without supervision or feedback and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers and peers. The position requires flexibility and broad responsiveness, including participation in strategic planning. - Demonstrate the skills and experience necessary for developing, running and growing a business operation in past positions in a highly technical organisation - Analytical skills, problem solving ability and being able to build the required operational organization - A good command of written and spoken English - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Competent in basic and process simulation software |
